I founded ReCreations by Courtney in 2008 out of a love for transforming houses into
homes. When the housing market crashed soon after, I shifted into a career in software
sales, taking on design projects in my spare time. While that career move made sense
at the time, my heart was always in interior design.
After 15 years in the software industry, I knew it was time to return to my true passion. I
went back to school, earned my accreditation, and took the leap to bring ReCreations
by Courtney back full-time.
Today, I lead ReCreations by Courtney alongside a trusted circle of contractors,
tradespeople, and design partners who help bring every project to life. Whether it’s a
new build, a flip, or a commercial space, my role as founder is to guide the creative
vision, manage the details, and ensure every client feels supported throughout the
process.
I am so grateful to be doing the work I love—designing spaces that are both beautiful
and functional—and building lasting relationships with the clients who invite us into their
homes and businesses.
When I’m not working with clients, I make it a priority to stay active and inspired. I love
working out, reading, and giving back through volunteer work. I serve in our church’s
children’s program and am also actively involved with the Dunwoody Women’s Group,
which allows me to connect with and support other women in our community.
Family and relationships are at the heart of everything I do. Whether it’s spending time
with my family, catching up with friends, or sharing everyday life with my husband—who
is not only my biggest cheerleader but also my steady support system—I find balance
and joy in the people around me.
